DEBUT UPDATE!!!

I am so excited to announce that I got accepted into the FIDM Advanced Fashion Design Program and will be one of the top 2017 designers. I have worked so hard for this moment and I couldn't be more excited for this opportunity! Words cannot describe how happy I am!

I found at work on my lunch break from a text from my mom. The last way I thought I'd find out. haha My mom got the mail that afternoon and saw letter from FIDM and thinking it was some financial statement or something boring like that but as she read she realized it was my acceptance letter! (A letter! All of us who applied were expecting a phone call or email but definitely did not think snail mail!)

I was so overwhelming with emotions and relief. I had put in so much time, effort, and money in the past 2 years that I cannot believe it's actually happening! It's one thing to tell yourself you got this but for it to actually happen it's unreal.

So for those who don't know what Debut is all about let me give you the details...

The top 10 students get in out of all who apply from the 4 campuses and graduates who reapply for the opportunity. (So application in the 100s = super competitive)

Debut is one of the biggest shows of the year. It takes place in an air hanger in Santa Monica airport. (Fills 30,000 a show and there's 3 full shows). The last show is a showcase dinner for all the people in the industry. High end companies and designers! ..aka huge opportunity!

I get 9 months to build a full collection of my own.

I want to give a big thank you to all the people who supported me through this crazy journey. So grateful!
