How to Create a Leave Behind

In the fashion industry it is super competitive and having people remember you is a serious challenge. A leave behind is a good way to leave an impression after an interview. It is a simple reminder of who you are and how you’re the best candidate for the job. A leave behind can be so many different things.

Some examples:

  • Small flyer

  • Post note pack

  • Stickers

  • Pen

  • Card

  • Fold out flyer

Whichever one you choose to use it must represent you. Think of a leave behind as a little piece of you and how you want to present yourself. I have seen them done in all these ways listed above and they all look amazing! I chose to do a small (4X5) flyer, only because at the time I had just shot my garments and I wanted the employer (whoever is interviewing me) to see my skill set. The back is where I put my 3rd person bio (to remind them of my experience and qualifications) and my contact information.

The main challenge with a leave behind is to make it look clean/ unique enough so they won’t throw it away right after. So be creative with your leave behind!
